Hi,

I'm putting together a new build and I already have some parts:

CPU: Intel i5-4670K
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H
Memory: 8GB (2 x 4GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro Blue DDR3

I would like to overclock to some level, but I've read a few things and I am now wondering what cooler will allow me to overclock AND will fit with the memory I have.

Thanks

I'm open to suggestions. I'm in the market for a PSU and case to go along with this. I could perhaps go to ~£50 for a cooler, but concerned about what will fit with the memory and board I have.

how much do you have for the rest? no point in choosing a cooler now alone, as it might not fit.

what else do you want to buy apart from cooler, PSU and case? maybe SSD?

Already have an SSD and other parts from another rig. The case needs to fit in the space I have. I currently have a Jeantech Phong II case from yesteryear that is worse for wear, the dimensions are H43xW20xL48cm. I have two or three CMs gap on top of those dimensions under my desk to fit so I could expand a little.

Could go up to £300 for the PSU, case and cooler.

Can anyone help?

Worried about what kind of cooling I would need to overclock reasonably, with the kit mentioned at the start of the thread.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I like that spec. 300R doesn't seem much bigger than my current case so should fit available space ok.

GPU is a HIS 7850, I have an SSD and a couple of HDDs that I will carry over.

Like the idea of the liquid cooling just not sure about the expense vs air cooling but then I am concerned whether an air cooler would fit with the RAM I have.
