Just building a resonable spec system for my sister as a late christmas present.

I'm using the following items in the build:-
Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 mobo (V1.4)
AMD AthlonII X2 265 3.3GHz CPU with retail heatsink & fan
2Gb (2x1Gb) Kingston KHX1333C7D3K2/2G DDR3 1333 RAM
Coolermaster Centurian II 5 Midi-Tower case
PNY Nvidia Geforce 9800GT 1Gb
2x 500Gb Western Digital SATA HD
2x Sony DVD-RW SATA
Antec 550w Basiq PSU

Put it all together and have had nothing but problems which I think is down to the PSU.

Has anybody used one of these Antec PSU's with a similar type of motherboard as mine ? ? I've seen several stories on the web of this exact PSU causing the same issues on similar AMD based setups.

I'm thinking about replacing the Antec with a Corsair 650w TX instead as it's a higher quality PSU and a bit more powerful.

You guys had any experience with this combo of parts ?

Cheers
Paul

PSU is fine, its made by Delta who are one of the foremost PSU manufacturers in the world. Its also a multi rail design which is good from a safety standpoint.

I would strongly suggest that PSU which is a quality unit should have no problem powering your rig.
