What about the Phanteks? They seem to get rave reviews. No need for optical bay by the way. I quite like the H440 myself, but seems to have cooling issues.

H440 air flow is poor.

Would a 650W PSU be enough for this, or less even? Bearing in mind SLI (x2 970's) is a possibility in the not to distant future. I hear the SuperFlowers are the go-to PSUs right now.

Not bad, but only saving £20 over previous bundle (factoring in cost of buying PSU separately), and not getting the 2 for 1 offer on the Gigabyte mbd as that one isn't part of it.

Not particularly good, over-used imo - the superflower and EVGA (OEM superflower) PSU's are better
Also similarly priced, so there's an obvious choice, go for one of the suggested ones

Very true, and I think their good support is a contributing factor too (at least in the UK it is!)
Mind you, super flower RMA is dealt through ocuk (good support in that case) and evga also have reportedly really good support and have a rep on here so you're catered for those options anyway!

Their highend stuff is still top dog from what I've read, but the rest of the line hasn't been as good lately.
