Hey guys,

So my last build is now dated (7 years old) and has a concurrent crashing issues which I cant be bothered fixing as I've been aiming at a new PC for a while. I had a browse at the OCUK Systems but feel I'll get more bang for my buck assembling it myself. I don't particularly care about aesthetics of the build. What I do want:

- RTX 4090
- Intel i9 (unless I’m convinced I’m throwing money at it for no real gain)
- 4k ready
- Ability to play all the latest games maxed out

I don't require a monitor/mouse/keyboard... just the tower.

Any questions, just ask.

TIA

Hey Tetras, thanks for the build. I just realised I forgot to mention I’d be inclined to go down the Intel route unless convinced otherwise.

I’m happy to wait. I don’t game as frequently as I use to so holding off a little while won’t upset me.

If you're content with waiting a few months, then I'd seriously consider the 7800X3D.

Intel alternative:

Intel Core i7-13700K (Raptor Lake) Socket LGA1700 Processor - Retail - £419.99
Asrock Z790 PG Riptide (LGA 1700) DDR5 ATX Motherboard - £239.99
Kingston FURY Beast 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 PC5-48000C40 6000MHz Dual Channel Kit - £169.99

Grand Total: £3,311.86 (includes delivery £11.99)

The Gigabyte Z790 D (or UD AX) can be found for a similar/lower price if you don't like ASRock, have to be a bit careful though, because Z790 boards (even entry-level) can easily exceed £250. If you're happy with a BIOS flash then Z690 (as long as it has flashback feature) offers you more affordable entry-level options, like MSI's Z690-A.

So I held off on this build. However, it is now required. My computer finally gave in with constant BSOD - tried changing various parts from RAM, SSD, HDD. Now my graphics cards have finally packed in

I've been looking at this... Power supply is probably overkill? Anything else worth changing?

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £3,789.86 (includes delivery: £11.98)
