New Build restarts after 10 seconds

im using a 4670K and a Gigabyte z87n itx board, I turn it on it posts no video, then resets every 10 seconds, also this board has no speaker so i get no beeps

Have you plugged both the CPU 8 Pin power & the Motherboard 24 Pin power cable?

yup it looks like a stick of ram, I got to the Bios screen with 1 particular stick but the other one alone and together causes a reset

Run Memtest with both ram sticks in. If you get errors then you know it's faulty for sure. (though sounds like it from your description already)

i cant it wont get to bios with both in before it restarts

Could be the board, try the one known working stick and try it in both slots

managed to get memtest86 to run on the iffy stick of ram, it went for about 5 mins then crashed memtest then went into a bootloop?

the other stick works fine in both slots, and have managed to install windows 7 and more while using it

surely that makes it ram?

Try the faulty stick in both slots, I've had a similar issue (But both sticks work independently of each other, just not together), OC replaced the RAM but it's still happening unfortunately, I think it could be the motherboard at fault. OC said it could even be the processor. So it's all had to go back!

I think if one stick works in both slots, and the other doesn't work in either of the slots it's a fair assumption that the RAM is at fault.
