New build RMA first time, still same problem!

Been the cheap ass that I am, I bought my this:

I had to RMA it because it wouldn't post.
I got a e-mail saying the problem was a "incorrect configuration" and the item was returned "fixed".

Now I did e-mail them before I got the item back asking what "incorrect configuration" meant and I got a reply saying "They believed the BIOS was reset."
That wasn't really a good answer but I thought that might be the best I was gonna get out of the CS team.

I got my item back today and with glee I built it back up to find it still has the same problem!

I'm seeking advice while I wait for CS to reply to me.

Have you tried it out of the case to make sure you have no shorts etc, double checked you got all the PSU connections for the board in (24pin, 4/8 cpu one too)?
When you say it wont POST are you getting any signs of life at all?

DOH, DOH DOH DOH.... Just found a ATX 12v that I didn't connect.... Problem is there are 8 pins and not the 4 that I have on my old XPs420...
Would i be correct in thinking these are labeled CPU 1/2 on my PSU ?

EDIT very sorry about this noobish-ment... I thought since my old pc takes 20 pins + one ATX at the top of the board the new one would take the full 24 and no ATX

Does this mean it requires BOTH ATX's in or just the one ?

I feel such an idiot right now... :/

If you've got a 6 pin cable then is isn't intended for the motherboard.

I need glasses to read things its 8 pins I edited my post... sorry for the confusion

no worries, we all make mistake, me more than most, you learn by them, if you remember them, something i always seems to forget

Am I correct in thinking that the ATX needs both cpu 1 and 2 in? Or should I just plug one in and see if it boots ?

I'm really grateful and sorry for all of this confusion and noobish stuff.

You will need the 24 pin plugged in on the right hand side and the 8 pin in the top left.

Both need to be in
