Hey,

I posted yesterday here - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18719168 regarding an upgrade and my components arrived a day early. Happy days.

My specs now are -

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz
Asus Z97-K Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 16GB (2x8GB)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler
Nvidia GTX 460 v2 Graphics card

Install went fine, everything runs as it should.

I can run CSGO on max and get great FPS so i'm more than happy, however now it keeps freezing randomly and i have to open task manager to close it then reload it. My graphics drivers are up to date, i've tried rolling back to previous drivers as well but the problem persists.

CPU temps are fine, as are the GPU temps. Not really sure were to go with this as i never had this issue with the same card when i was running it on low graphics settings. Could this just be my graphics card not being able to cope? I don't really want to replace it unless it's necessary.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Yeah just csgo so far. And yeah I can still use other programs just csgo freezes and loops sound. Have to open task manager and close it.

I'll try what you suggested and report back.

Thanks

^ Yeah it's running really well thanks. Don't think the other half is too happy i haven't got off it since i built it!

I did keep getting crashes on CSGO though, and despite trying the above help and googling the issue the only thing that resolved it fully was lowering the graphics quality slightly. But like you said, i'll invest in a decent GPU sometime and it should be a pretty decent system.

Thanks again.

Oh and one more thing, I noticed this mobo has a "8-Pin EATX12V" but my PSU only has one 4pin connection. It's running fine with just 4, and after a quick google i came to the conclusion that it will be fine, but if i wanted to look into overclocking the system i should upgrade my PSU and plug an 8pin one in. Does this sound about right??
