New build should be faster?

So I just got a few new games to test out the rig I just finished (in sig)

Pop in CoD4 and at 1920x1080 with no AA i was getting about 10 fps, this can't be right can it?

5770 benchmark

According to that I should be getting above 60fps.

Don't think it would be anything other than the GPU causing problems, quad core and 4gb RAM should be fine for most games, no?

Will test Fallout 3 and Bioshock later.

Drivers are updated for the card, on 10.5 as I heard people where having issues with 10.6?

Not updated the game, would this need doing? Where exactly would I go to do this?

5770 benchmarks can be found here the score is higher, but my res was higher, should i try at 1680x1050?

Had a look on the control center, could find that option, could you be a little more specific, might just be me being blind.

it will be there, you get a few basic settings, but one tab along the top gives you every 3d setting on one page.

the graphics card forum may be a better place?

thats all i can see wrong, it looks the same as my 955cpu, ignore the 800mhz cpu speed, thats just cool and quiet enabled, you can disable this, just checked cpu-z on mine and compared every screen against mine.

must be a driver issue or setting.

I think so, according to the mobo instructions I have them in B1 and B2.

That's what I just did, memory is now working in dual channel, thanks mate, don't know why I never noticed it before. Will check CoD4 and the heaven bench it a bit.

Sorry, only just got back, CoD4 seems to run better, but I am playing in less demanding places so I thinks that's where the FPS boost is from, heaven is still the same

The Caralyst A.I is set to Advanced, should I set it to Standard or Disabled?

Going to run driver sweeper and reinstall the drivers. That might help.
