I’m looking to build a triple monitor 1440p setup to be used exclusively for sim racing. It will have little to no other use other than this, so as much as I want to have a good setup for this, I’m looking for areas I could potentially cut back on.

CPU wise I was looking at an i7-12700kf, but would an i5 do the job?

GPU wise I’ve been looking at an RTX 4070 but unsure if a 4060 would cut it?

Any recommendations for a full build would be appreciated. Looking to keep it as close to, or below 1k if possible?

Hi and welcome.

Running triple 1440p screens you want the best GPU you can afford but the 7800xt is faster than the 4070 and has more vram.

Have you looked at any benchmarks?

Sims often like the X3D chips by AMD, although it does depend on which games/sims exactly you're looking to play? It's hard to suggest a GPU without knowing the exacts either, some will prefer AMD over Nvidia etc.

TBH I think your going to struggle with your budget unless your going to be willing to sacrifice details and/or use FSR. Your needing to push 7680*1440p is pixel resolution. That is more 7900xt/xtx or 4080/super territory.

This is the best I can come up withon your budget,

I think you need to up your budget by £500+, buy second hand or get a VR headset like HaloUk mentioned.

This is more what you will need IMHO.

This is an amalgmation of the 2 above builds
