Hey everyone,

Basically made a new build consisting of:

Intel Core i5 2300 2.80GHz Sandybridge,
Gigabyte H61M-D2 Intel H61 (Socket 1155),
Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB DDR3 RAM,
Corsair Builder Series CX 600W V2 '80 Plus PSU,
ATI Radeon HD 6850 Cyclone Power Edition 1024MB,
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

We have BT Infinity, usual speeds are 30 - 40Mb/s. But in my new build, if I am downloading a file e.g (145MB) it would take me an hour to download. Although on my laptop on same LAN it would take about 3 mins. If the file is large, it will sometimes eventually display 'Interrupted' when downloading - So I would have to start the download again.

Tried reinstalling OS, booting into Linux with same speeds, updating network drivers, checking Device Manager, Still nothing. I am using the onboard network card.

Hope someone can help, cheers.

Have you tried another ethernet port on the router? I found my gigabit port to be faulty where nothing would load.
