I'm planning on building an entirely new build in about a month, and I'd like to 'future proof' it as much as I can, as such, I have a few questions on eyefinity.
It looks awesome, and I want it. However I can't afford three monitors at this present time.
Will a Stock 5870 such as http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-214-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1502 support 3x eyefinity?
Or will you need a card such as this? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-231-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752
Also, I'm a bit out of date on the whole connections front...
Whats the difference between dual link DVI and DVI. Also, Whats the whole display port shibang.
Am I right in assuming I will be able to run an eyefinity setup using 2 DVI connections and 1 HDMI?
Thanks for you help
