Hi guys.

Been lurking fora while, finally decided to join when i knew this was the place to help me with my tech needs ;)

Managed to get some money over christmas, so im looking to finally make the leap to dual core.

I do a lot of gaming, i do a lot of photoshopping, and i do a heck of a lot of movie editing, so i needed to get a rig that could handle all those for the next year or so...

I've made a cart of the parts i believe should manage my needs well, but its kinda pushing my account to its limits...

So i was wondering if anyone could take a look and give me any advice.

I was was wondering if theres any changes i could make (I.E: Memory, PSU?) where il be able to maintain the same power, but shave the cost of the total price a tad?

If it helps, i dont plan to do any overclocking or have an SLI setup... :p

thanks for reading and any help you guys can give. :D

Giz

EDIT : I've updated the cart with the changes so far...

I am not 100% but I don't think you require a SATA cable, I believe you should get some with the Mainboard... (have someone else confirm that though).

You may be able to go for a Corsair 520W PSU instead, which is around 70 pounds.

*EDIT* do you really need such an expensive keyboard?

I would rather buy a cheaper one, and use that money on a better mainboard, like a Gigabyte DS3 (or just the S3) S3 is about 88, the DS3 about 100. They are great overclockers and basically everyone seems to love them. (I will be using one to when I build my rig).

Well i already have a storage drive, but it's IDE, and i use the 74 gig Raptor as my main...

So I'd like to replace the IDE with the 150...

And im getting the G15 as im an avid gamer :p

And motherboard wise, the overclocking features arnt important to me, as i wont be doing any...

So, it looks like i can change the PSU. Good deal...

thanks for the help :)

Any further advice will be welcomed. I dont plan to upgrade untill early Feb anyway...
