Does anyone have any suggestions, things missing, or things to change?

I'm assuming the case is going to be fine for an 8800GTS? I did look at the Antec P182, but its HUGE! My existing case is about as big as I can deal with, and the P182 is about 10-15cm taller!

The 500Gb Samsung drive is to be used as an external drive. The 'enclosure' isn't available at OcUk, but I included the Manufacturers code, if anyone could be kind enough to confirm whether its a suitable choice?!

Also I take it the DVD drive is fine? They're all very similar in price, but not really sure what features are of benefit and which aren't really needed.

Hit me with your comments and suggestions please. I'm hoping to order later tonight! :)

Great spec, just there is one very important component you're missing... It is a three letter acronym, beginning with 'C'...

LOL it's the first thing on my list here in front of me - I'll edit the OP ;)

Thanks :)

/edit - Added now. I went with the E6750 instead of the Q6600 mainly because I'm right at the limit of my budget. Also, I'm hoping to keep things as quiet/cool as possible, without having to spend extra on fancy coolers. Not planning to do any serious OC either. I know that the Quad should provide a big improvement when games are properly multi threaded, but I decided that the P35 mobo should make it pretty easy to drop in a 'proper' quad, when Intel move to a smaller/cooler process (45nm?).

I'm guessing the will be no driver issues for the External Enclosure with Vista?

Anyone got any last minute suggwestions on anything about the case/dvd/etc before I buy?

Cheers for the input so far.

Get a cheaper CPU (e2160, e4300) and clock the nuts of it.

Use the saving on the CPU to get a 640MB GTS.

Edit, there are also nicer cases, Akasa Zen (cheap), eclipse (expensive, but nice), anything from Lian Li, Antec P180,...

I'd consider this* case instead. Uses 120mm fans meaning better airflow + quiet & highly recommend around here ;)

*Black's out-of-stock but if you drop them a web-note I'm sure they can tell you when they are expecting more.

I did think about that option, but I've still got a few 'older' games I plan on playing through first. By the time I actually get round to playing something that really needs the additional memory, then I'll probably be happy to upgrade. I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means and I don't mind turning a few settings down if I have to.

But I know what you mean - there's not a big increase in price at all to go for the 640Mb.

I would have had the Black PC-7 - but alas it has dissapeared from most places. :( I've been waiting and waiting for ages to get this and I unfortunately I'm not going to wait for a case to come back into stock. It's such a shame because for weeks now I've had my eye on the PC-7.

the zalman fans arnt that good and are a bit noisy

I think I've heard that they're quite good. There's not much selection in the 92mm range. Can you recommend any alternatives? It's only £7 so it's not a big loss if it needs replaced down the line. But I hate buying cheap stuff on its own, prefer to order it with a bigger order if I can, so as to not get stung with stupid shipping charges.

Thanks for the input guys. It would have actually been too late, as I'd just pressed 'Confirm' - but my CC company have blocked the transaction. :( So I need to phone them first thing tomorrow, which leaves time for a few adjustments.

Silver's not that bad :)

Anyway, just consider a case with 120mm fans all-round.

EDIT: Oh & the Lian-Li's are full aluminum = lighter
