New build - spec check

I need a new pc (everything), and have decided to build my own. It can't be that hard, right?

My uses are primarily for gaming, with the odd bit of MS office work. I do not want to overclock (at least, not until I have to).

Budget-wise, I did not want to go over £1300, but with including a SSD I exceed this a bit, so I'm not convinced it's worth it yet.

Here is the spec I have in mind so far, any advice/suggested changes would be appreciated.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55-UD4 - £138.97

CPU: Intel i7 860 retail - £218.98

CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper TX3 (suggested by cmndr andi) - £12.99

GPU: ATI 5850 - £198.98

PSU: Corsair HX750 - £112.99

Ram: G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB 1600mhz 7-7-7-24 - £73.99

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB 16MB - £41.28

SSD: Crucial M225 64GB - £114.99

Optical drive: Sony Optiarc AD-7240S DVD-RW - £18.99

Case: Lian-Li PC-P50B - £117.30

Monitor: Samsung 2443BW 1920 x 1200 24" - £235.92

Speakers: Logitech S220 2.1 - £17.90

Keyboard: OCZ Alchemy Series Elixir 2 - £10.93

Mouse: OCZ Eclipse Laser Gaming Mouse - £15.98

Moust Pad: SteelSeries QcK Gaming Surface - £9.99

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium - £68.15

Total: £1419.26 delivered (Using OCUK and other retailers)

Thanks.

change the memory to 6gb of tri channel if your going i7.

The specced memory is fine, only i7 900 series (X58) supports triple channel memory, i5/i7 700/800 (P55) only support up to dual channel.

To the OP: Looks good, though if you don't want to overclock then I suggest putting this cooler on it. Its cheap, cool and quiet.

Thanks, I'll edit my post to include this cooler.

Do you know if these come with any thermal paste?

No worries mp260767.

Amended the HDD and speakers.

Edit: The motherboard I've picked does not support 1600mhz RAM, only 1333mhz and 2200mhz, will this be a problem for the RAM I have chosen?
