Hey all, been out the game for a LONG time (probably a good 8 years) and have subsequently lost touch with all sorts of knowledge around componentry etc. Looking for a fairly lean build (but no specific budget, per se) so I can fire up Diablo II: Resurrected in some spare time. Minimum/recommended specs are here.

In an ideal world, this build would be easily upgradable (future proof), if I decide to.

Don't need a keyboard/mouse or monitor.

Thanks in advance.

Are you in a rush ? Lots of new tech coming out in next few months.

Diablo II is not a difficult game to run at all so just about any current PC will run it.
Below is a budget build I put together for another guy and was still in basket.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £737.20 (includes delivery: £12.30)

This is the low end of what people should be looking at if they buy new and it will easily run Diablo II

Thanks Haz! Not in any particular rush, no. Will keep an eye on that build over the next few months as the new tech starts to surface!

@Haz123 thinking about adding a couple extra case fans on there, if you have any recommendations? Also, would I need anything else to enable WiFi connectivity, or is that built in to that board? Struggling to figure that out... cheers!

That particular board is a budget mobo and does not have wifi built in.

This is a very good mobo and recommended a lot. Has wifi of course, most B660 mobos with Wifi have Wifi in the name so is easy to spot.

There is going to be a new revision of this mobo hitting the market, Mortar Max, that will have a specific chip on it that will allow BCLK overclocking on locked Intel chips. It turns the budget Intel chips like the 12100 12400 into gaming monsters.

Fans. Corsair , lian Li , Be Quiet , Noctua all good fans. If you want RGB then you are best to stick to one brand so you only have one set of software to deal with.

That's brill, thanks for the info Haz! Never really got into or understood OC'ing so think I'll go with that for now. No doubt will be back with Qs once I come round to the build haha.
