Hey guys, I'm looking to build me a new system and have chosen all the parts but wanted to check if the spec seems ok or if there are better options out there... I want it primarily for gaming and internet (games like cod4 and 5, need for speed and all that) and dont really wanna spend more than about £700..

heres my spec, any advice?

q6600 is one fine chip, but if you game get a e8400 instead you will get more from it + lot more OC headroom

Looking ok, you can get away with a lower wattage psu and perhaps go for a modular psu :)

Agreed. I'd go for something like an Enermax Modu 82+ 525W or a Corsair 520W - both excellent modular PSU's and they'll run that fine.

With free delivery comes to under £700.

I generally prefer a faster dual core for gaming to a quad, but everyone have their own views on this.

The 640gb hard drive is only £12 more than the 250gb, works out an extra 3p per 1gb ;)

The HIS 4870 is cheaper than the one you've shown, so I've put that towads a CPU cooler, that E8400 should overclock very well.

I've changed the PSU for a modular one, makes it easier to work with and creates less mess in the case.

The 300 is a great case for the price, offers excellent cooling, but it is down to personal preference, your the one looking at it all the time.

Now that's a nice spec for the price :)
I'm not really a fan of the antec 300,I prefer the 1200 (which i have) or the 900 (which i'm buying for my son)
