Hello guys,

I'm currently running a cruddy Athlon 3000 with a gig of Ram and a radeon 9800 XT.

I havent built a system for a while now so I'm pretty much out the loop of the new technology. Im looking at getting back into PC gaming (PS3 at the mo) and I also do some graphics stuff (adobe products) and 3D rendering.

Im looking for a Card, Motherboard, RAM, Processor and PSU. I've got the rest.

I can spend around £400 - 450, could you guys help me spec something up?

Thanks

The above should give you a pretty decent gaming rig. What resolution do you play at?

That looks pretty good. If you want to get it closer to the £400 mark try an E5200 instead of the E7400 and overclock the nuts off it.

Well I dont actually know what resultion I'll play at as my old system could handle about 1200 but I'm hoping to play higher with the new build.

I have a 40inch Sony Bravia 1080i TV too which I wouldn't mind hooking it up to but not sure of the max resolution of the TV. I will have to find out tonight.

Would the Seasonic Silverpower 400W do for this build?

you could knock a little bit off by swapping the mobo to something like the gigabyte ep45 ds3, from what ive seen the tpower is a great overclocking mobo but wont really be tested by the 7400 and pc6400 memory.
