build is ok.

don't get the nasty psu, get the ocz.

coolermaster elite 430 case is a good buy.

Hello and welcome to the forums :)

Be careful with the competitor links ;)

Spec looks good, but go with OCZ PSU.

thanks, that was exactly what i was after :) (sorry bout the links... :P) also, would the 1090t be a worthwhile upgrade for the extra ~£40?

thanks

in that case, could i switch to a 650w corsair tx ultra quiet? as would the corsair be a higher quality piece of kit (and so last longer)?

cheers

>with a change of motherboard/case

Presumably the £10 discount on the MB affected your decision, but if they were the same price (and if O/C sold the M4A87TD :) ), which would you go for? I've managed to muddle through which components I want and why, but I just don't know where to start with choosing a motherboard for a similar system (X4 955 is the only real change). All I know is, for me, it has to come in at £80 or less.

Also, I recognise the configurator that mr101 used and so know that the case he's lined up is a Z7 Plus (not that changes much). Is there a solid reason for changing to a CM 430?

Tough call on the motherboard, the price is the main factor.

As for the case, the Zalman is good, but the elite 430 is better, all black interior, PSU at the bottom, will accept silly long graphic cards (ATI 5970) and at OCUK prices the 430 is a few quid cheaper.
