Hi i finished my 1st build yesterday, got some help from other threads on hear ive read. Anyway all up and running, i have a i7 920 D0, with my motherboard ASUS P6T SE i got some software to manager the fans and such, ive set it to auto so it adjusts it as and when it needs to. Its saying that my CPU is 38, this is when im pretty much ideal, is this a good temp or not as i have no idea.

Thanks.

i used the artic cooling one, all i can do is assume its on correct? how would i know, why is this not a good temp? could it damage my cpu?

edit, no overclock either.

arctic cooling MX2 doesnt need to be set have u checked the fan speeds? dl prime 95 and run small FTPs and tell us the temps on load:Dplease

the fans speeds are 1004rpm - 720rpm, what are dl prime 95 and what about running small ftps?

edit: this is when the system is ideal and the fan controll set to auto. dont know how much of a differance it makes.

sorry for the short type. download a program called prime 95 then run a torture test called small FTPs:D this will then run all 4 cores under roughly 100% load and tell us your temperatures:D also keep an eye on the fan speed:D

take the mobo out the case with only the ram and cpu cooler attached
and hold it only by the cooler:D sounds a bit risk but if its secure you shud be able to hold it only via the cooler and things else plus this will tell you if it is secure or not:D where are those pics matey?

edit: check for gaps between the cpu cooler and cpu

Pics now updated plus results.

Ok ive finally taken a pic of the inside and outside and also a screenshot of some results.

here are the results, these are after about 10mins of running small ftps, are these ok, this is with no overclocking, i might look into ocing to about 3ghz at some point, i just want to make sure my temps are ok.

thanks.
