hi, just put a new rig together (see sig)
ive not got it up n running with O/S just yet but after sitting with bios up for 20 odd minutes im idle'ing at 38c CPU and 36c MOBO
does this sound about right for the rig ive put together?

well i idle at 36c at idle with your cooler with an i7 920 clocked at 3.6ghz, so does seem bit high for standard clock, but dont worry those temps are very reasonable indeed. i guess temps is also affected by room temp/case. good luck with the overclock :)

yeah i like my room nice n warm :)
i wont OC till i get a game or smth that 2.66ghz wont handle well, and by then il probly be able to buy an i9 for £1.99 with free p&p :p

dude, to get the most out of those 2x5870 vapor-X badboys then you shouldnt consider anything less than an overclock...

its real simple with the i7 just read a few guides / look few vids before doing and you cant go wrong

do you have both fans on the cpu cooler? i only have 1 on atm, they say the 2nd fan cools it by a further 1-3c
