Hey peeps, ok so ive built a pc from parts that i got off a guy that owed me some spondy ... All parts were new (He runs a computer shop) so i said stuff it ill take some parts to recovery my losses...

So i built it up (im not a complete noob so i have used good thermal paste etc) And it has a different cooler than standard .. still air cooled.

Specs-

Asus p8z77-v wifi board
8GB ballistix ram kit 2x4GB
I5 3570K (stock speed)
Ati 7850 1GB Sapphire edition card
250GB Samsung SSD
1TB sata hdd

Now... Ive never really done stress tests etc etc as i know they all ran cool on my prev systems and never really done much gaming.., Ive had prime running for 10 mins and my mobo temp is 37 degrees and my cpu is on 52 degrees, Is that normal temps ?

I have had a look around on several forums and google but theres so many different views on temps i thought id come here and ask the pro's lol

20min mark update-CPU temp is at 53 degrees ..

PS please bare in mind its really hot in my flat at the mo due to the blinding weather at the mo, its prob around 30 degrees

Yes, they are normal.

I think the Intel thermal throttling doesn't kick in till 65-70, so your fine.

What cooler you using?

Altho its cheap its actually not a bad looking cooler in my opinion, Oh and by the way you'll prob want to know its all in a cooler master silencio 450 case ! silenced cases get quite warm apparently

I may well do actually, Its not my primary rig... as you can see from my sig lol... but untill thats finished this will be used so not to worried if it breaks haha but was niice to just get a decent opinion on the temps :-) So thanks for that mate, ended the test on 40 mins and the cpu was still sat at 54 degrees so cant be bad
