Alright guys.

Built my 1st PC recently and decided i would monitor temps for the 1st time.

Anyway here are my build specs and Temp readings in CoreTemp + Everest.

Intel C2D E6750 2.66ghz ( stock) - haven't had time to overclock ( never done it before either!)
Asus P5K-E /WiFi Mobo.
4GB (2x2GB) Geil Black Dragon DDR2 PC6400 (800Mhz) - Stock timings
Geforce 8800GTS 512MB
Samsung HD501LJ Hard Drive
2 x optical drives ( SATA)
P182 Case + additional 120 mm fan (4 case fans in total)
Thermalright U120 + Noctua NF-P12 fan (new model) + Artic cooling MX-2 paste.
Windows Vista Home Ultimate 64bit.

Now the temp details:

Core Temp 0.95 - idle
core 1: 10 degrees c
core 2: 10 degess c
tjunction: 85 degrees c ( what is tjunction??)
These readings seem well off. no way am i at 10 degrees c. is that right?!

Everest Ultimate edition (trial) - idle
cpu: 6 degress c
core 1: 25 degrees c
core 2: 25 degess c
motherboard: 27 degrees c ( what is tjunction??)
GPU: 36 deegrees c

I've got a Zalman fan controller 2 with temp sensors. here are the read outs.
cpu: 24 degress c ( placed between the heat sink and retaining bracket
GPU: 35 degrees c
HDD Zone: 20 degess c
Case temp: 21 degrees c

Do these seem normal? Obviously the Coretemp is well wrong but are the other temperatures from everest ok? will look into load temps soon, using prime. Oh btw the case fans are all running on the low setting.

Everest is probably correct. But download the latest version of CoreTemp (v0.95.4) as it will read the E6750 temps and tjunction correctly (Tjunction is where the CPU will shutdown).

Also load temps from Orthos or Prime95 are far better indicators than idle temps.
