currently building a new computer, have got all the major components the minor ones are simply fans and cables. Price is around £1900 atm,

Plan on using it for a lot of gaming eve, battlefield 3, CS:GO, and a lot more in future so needs to last me, also will be used for Folding@home as my other computer bit the dust.

Anything you would change, price can grow ~ £200 or come down.

Personally would change the 680 for a 670 since the performance difference is tiny.

Unless you are doing video editing you can go for the i5 over the i7

Gigabyte board such as the:

If you really wanna spend that much on a motherboard, it has a UK based RMA and longer warranty.

A Corsair or XFX PSU over a OCZ as they are made by Seasonic who are better than CWT.

And then a large air cooler over the H100 as it cheaper, quieter and cooler.

Oh and a Samsung SSD.

PS. Will you want playback software on the Bluray player?

Forgot the ram :( and I see what you mean about the 670 and i7 easily swapped out and I have other hdd's so the ssd can have the os and major games I play. For the blu ray yes, now you have pointed it out I didn't pick retail one. Thanks for the points ill take my build back to the drawing board and come back later :)

Right now unless you are hell bent on 3D gaming I cant see much of a reason to go for Nvidia. With the recent price drops the 7950 which is near equivalent of the 670 when overclocked is much cheaper so you can easily afford SLI of 7950's/

Glad we can help.

How serious are you about folding? as the extra threads and cuda support of the i7+Nvidia may help.

Quite serious about folding, ive used to have a good PPD but my laptop im using now just cant handle anything close, hence for nvidia 680 and i7.

also how do you link in the basket like both of you have done??
