Afternoon folks!

Got given the green light from the boss on pocket money to replace my PC! (current build will be going to her, so full new setup) Game at 1440p 27" screens can do 170hz

Wanting to go AMD/Ryzen for the first time ever! and shall wait to see what the 50 series offers, if its crazy my back up is leaning towards a 4070ti Super.

Case wise, my wife got me the Corsair 3500x + Titan 240RX AIO, so that will be my base line... wouldn't mind trying to go for a White build, if possible!

Our setup is hardwired so WIFI isn't really needed, just a 2.5gb NIC for my fibre line.

9800x3d looks tasty, I've had a peak over other posts and people recommend pairing it with 6000hmz RAM with EXPO?

SSD wise, would it be better to go for 2x M2 2TB or just get 1x 4TB? I'm guessing the days of "splitting the OS" are long gone nowadays ha

Budget is around 2k

Well, Guess I'm waiting for the 9800x3d CPU to come back available, but I can hold onto my current 3070, then buy GPU later - Wife will keep her current 1070ti a touch longer (but bless its tired boss :p)

base PC to be white if possible, but if black saves me a fair chunk of money, I'll just live with the white case + fans as I do now.

Done both to compare.

1tb and 2tb m2 and put a few options in there for you to look at , there are cheaper b650 motherboards but you loose pcie5.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,797.79 (includes delivery: £7.99)

Thanks sir, I guess the PSU doesn't really matter as, as its hidden away within the case anyway?

Worth just grabbing 2x 2TB M2s then, instead of 1x 4TB would you say?

White PSU will have white cables which is a bonus imo if you doing a white build.

M2 drives it really up to you as there pros and cons for both but I would particuon a 4tb for windows.

NoWiFi needed but you also have Bluetooth so will be easier connecting devices

If you've need loads of storage just go 1tb and 4tb, picked the Kingston renegade as there dram drives and on offer.

There are alternatives if you wish to save some money.

Just gone to order and everything is on preorder lol
Had this issue when I built my PC.

2 of the 5 items where in stock (RAM and PSU) the rest was all on pre order.

Case was still out of stock 3 weeks later so cancelled and had to buy a case else where as most where all on pre order that I liked

Any recommendation on different (in stock) items

2x Kingston FURY Renegade 2TB PCI-e 4.0 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive (SFYRS/2000G)

1x Phanteks AMP GH 1000W 80PLUS Platinum ATX Power Supply Modular - White
