Well its that time of year again, my 3.2GHz P4 is starting to show its age so its time for a new build. I am trying to aim for the £400-500 mark, what I would like:
Intel Core2Duo E6320 1.86GHz - How much faster than my 3.2GHz P4 (Prescott) will this be?
Non-SLI Motherboard - I dont have the cash for SLI
2GB Ram - no need for ultra low latency, I wont be overclocking!
GeForce 8600GTS 256mb - One of the pre-overclocked ones perhaps?
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music - I have an Audigy 4 at the moment and this seems to be the next step up
500GB HDD - I already have another 400GB HDD to do backups, this will be my main drive, can have a smaller size if the price goes over £500
Case + PSU - I quite like the look of the Antec Sonata III but its not out yet and its £90 As I say I wont be overclocking so I dont need a massive PSU.
What can the great collective that is OcUK spec up for me? All suggestions are welcome
