Hey :)

Well its that time of year again, my 3.2GHz P4 is starting to show its age so its time for a new build. I am trying to aim for the £400-500 mark, what I would like:

Intel Core2Duo E6320 1.86GHz - How much faster than my 3.2GHz P4 (Prescott) will this be?
Non-SLI Motherboard - I dont have the cash for SLI :(
2GB Ram - no need for ultra low latency, I wont be overclocking!
GeForce 8600GTS 256mb - One of the pre-overclocked ones perhaps?
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music - I have an Audigy 4 at the moment and this seems to be the next step up
500GB HDD - I already have another 400GB HDD to do backups, this will be my main drive, can have a smaller size if the price goes over £500
Case + PSU - I quite like the look of the Antec Sonata III but its not out yet and its £90 :( As I say I wont be overclocking so I dont need a massive PSU.

What can the great collective that is OcUK spec up for me? All suggestions are welcome :)

Cheers everyone,

Craig

If you are on a budget you may want to consider using on board sound instead and use the money saved for larger HDD or an E6320.

As there is no DX10 game out atm you can consider the 1950pro which performs better in DX9 and wait till DX10 cards refresh from ATI and Nvidia.
