Hi guys planning a new build and want to put the cpu under water and with a view to getting blocks for the gpu's if its worthwhile doing and funds allow. Already got 1 lightning, just need to sell rest of my system will put my trusty 280gtx back in for that.
Will be getting a caddie for external HDD's and will be raiding the ssd's, i dont need much space on them as i tend to only have 2-4 games installed and that would be my main use, would you change anything????
currently on 1080 monitor but plan on 27" dell by xmas, £2k max

Isn't the £5 difference between the retail CPU and the OEM worth it to you?

You get a 3 vs 1 year warranty, shiny box and a stock heatsink.

would have liked the corsair 600T case and z77 rampage gene but was told i would probably struggle to fit in the soundcard which is important to me unless i watercooled the gpu's, but wouldn't i struggle with rad space?? No hdd caddies are needed in either case.

I think you mean a paper weight and 2 years warranty, still worth the fiver though;)

No, its a 3 year warranty not 2, and the heatsink will be useful for the OP if he has a watter leak/problem or sells the chip on,the new owner hasn't got to source a heatsink.

Still got one from my 2500k! But the extra 2 years is defo worth it, really did not see that, thx

Dont know if i can ask this on here, but what do you think my current system is worth with a 280gtx installed, i have no idea!! Cpu, cooler, ram, MB, ssd are 7 months old the rest are about 5 years.
