Hi All,

So after over a decade, its time to replace my Ivy Bridge build, its had to have the OC put back to stock and volts increased to keep it stable and I'm unable to game anymore or run some of the previous VM's. I run 3x 1920*1200 monitors over bezel corrected res of 6060*1200 so still less than 4k but not by a great deal. The PC is used for work also and Im not intending to upgrade the monitors any time soon. I previously posted in the Graphics card subforum and was suggested a 3080 wouldnt be overkill for what I do so with the newly released 4070ti appearing to get 60fps at 4k from the benchmarks, appears it would keep me in good standing for the next few years for games. Compared to the current cards needing settings turned right down to Low-medium with additional options being completely off or at its lowest. I'll be playing things like Dying Light/Far Cry etc.

Current specs:

i7 3770k

2x 670ti's

16gb ram

250gb SSD

Corsair AX860 PSU

In a NZXT Switch 810 case.

So looking over build options replacements, I have specced up the below. I've attempted to follow the 4070ti thread and it seems like I should be able to do what I need to do at ample settings, compared to the 670's that always needed the settings to be lowered. I should be able to fit a 360 rad in the case as it was initially a plan to go custom loop 10years ago however life got in the way as it always does.
Funnily I think its was the best part of about £900 for the 2x 670 ti's when I bought them so about the same price for a GPU that from reviews and technology moving on doing better than what my 670ti's ever did is good, but then thats as I've stayed on the same res and not moved on up. It just appears CPU/memory prices have increased.

However with the change to the new GPU power connectors would my current PSU (AX860) and with its age (2014) would it be good enough or would I be better off replacing it, if so any suggestions?
It does have multiple multiple 8pin (6+2) pcie connectors as 2 sets are already in use on the 670's and found but then misplaced again the aditional 6+2 spare pcie cable I have for it.

Any other comments or suggestions appreciated.

What I'm looking at:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £2,041.00 (includes delivery: £11.10)

I wouldn't bother replacing it, unless you find it has problems.

Your build looks fine to me, you might want to check out the 13700. I haven't seen any reviews yet, but the 12700 reviewed quite well and if you're not overclocking it saves £50 (may have to do a bios flash, but that board has flashback for unsupported CPUs).

Thanks for the help.
I've since found the PSU cables and been looking at reviews for the CPU again today. But I've now just placed the order, so roll on the upgrade!
