I've just finished building a new rig after quite a few years of not having a gaming PC. I've got a GTX980 and am trying to get it to display on my 2010 27" Apple Cinema Display using an adapter cable that has male Displayport one end and female Mini Displayport on the other.
I don't know if it's a problem with the PC or compatibility with the Apple display because i only have the Apple display. The machine has power and the CPU cooler and GTX980 light up but I don't know if the mobo and SSD/HDD are powered up properly because I can't see anything on the screen.
Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this problem? I can't plug the display into the mobo's onboard graphics to rule out the GTX980 because it doesn't support Displayport.
Frustrated
