Do you think this MSI board would be a better bet then? Based on what you've said above?

Cheers.
Sorry was thinking of the AM3 boards (a clean sweep for MSI)!!
For X58 LGA 1366 MB the following were recommended:
* Asus P6T Deluxe V2 (Premium Grade)
* Asus Rampage II Gene (Approved)
* Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R (Approved) - NB only has 4 RAM channels
Personally I am not convinced about the benefits of going for a LGA 1156 board given the performance advantage and future proofing of going for a cheaper LGA 1366 MB. I think the margin of savings between that Gigabyte board (140.00 GBP) + Core i7 920 (212.00 GBP) and a LGA 1156 setup isn't worth the hassle. You get a newer stepping CPU that OC really well and you can CF/SLI at full 2x 16x PCIe bandwidth. Just my 2p...
