How's it going lads,
looking to get a system built for use with the upcoming VR setups, and for general gaming. Leaving the main system alone (X79 etc) until later in the year/next year, so was aiming to put together a separate system which would be at home in the living room without dominating the place with noise and heat.
Have settled on a Skylake effort, ASUS (more than likely Deluxe, but considering Hero) board, 16GB with a single 980ti, but I'm still up in the air with regard to the case and cooler at the moment.
Moved away from a MATX idea, as while I'd like something on the smallish side, the concerns with providing adequate size for a custom cooler 980ti and AIO CPU cooler without sacrificing an increase in general heat and noise pushed me towards going for the larger mid size.
Does anyone have opinions on the noise level of the Phanteks Evolv compared to, say, a BeQuiet case ? or are there better options to consider ?
Regarding the GPU, I understand the Strix cards are regarded to be on the less noisy side, but without the option of a Hybrid, the current choices are fairly limited.
Also what are people's opinions on the H105 cooler (used to have the original AIO release from Corsair way back when) and PSU for noise levels etc
Will be adding a M2 boot drive in, and using the 850 for a Games drive etc etc
Would appreciate any opinions or advice....cheers.
