Hi

Building a new computer with the following old parts:

OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C5 800MHz SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2

Casecom Black Mid Tower Case - Front Blue LED 120mm Fan - With Side Window

Nivida Geforce 6800 Ultra 256MB I plan to upgrade my graphics card in the next couple of weeks due to funds.

Sound card Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live Audigy 2

The new parts are going to be:

Zalman CNPS 9700 LED Socket

Corsair 650W TX Series PSU - 120mm Fan, 80+% Efficiency, Single +12V Rail

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Socket 775 (3.0GHz) 1333FSB 6MB L2 Cache Retail Boxed Processor

Asus P5Q PRO P45 Socket 775 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

What do you think guys? I was told that i could get a better heatsink, but i kinda like the way it looks like :)

Looks good, the only thing i would suggest is perhaps upgrading to 4gb of ram, will be very handy if you are/or decide to use a 64bit operating system, eg vista64.

do you really need the extra functions provided with the pro version of that board? Its a good series but you could save yourself (actually scrap that I just checked price) a whole £8, lol, which I was gonna say you can put towards your gfx card, nvm
It;ll definately be worth investing in a new case too when you can, get one with decent airflow to make sure you get a nice OC on that chip
