No, the 270X is faster than the 7850 and it comes with BF4. For these kinds of cards 4GB isn't necessary.

The 270X isn't factory overclocked, but has a good cooler.

OK good. that's whats in my basket and what i originally chose. do you think it would have any problems playing a certain type of game as i want my new computer to be future proof.

Well it's a midrange card, so it's not going to play the latest games maxed out, but it's powerful enough to play all games at medium or high settings at 1080p. Most older ones will play at max settings.

Sorry about the double comment. Its all new to me.

what card would you recommend for under 200 pound? The Mobo will be Asus Crosshair v Formula z with a FX 8350 8 core CPU. with 8GB viper ram 1600

thanks

The 270X is the best card under £200. There may be 280X deals though around £200, I'd keep an eye out for one.

If you went for an 8320 you'd save £30 - could you then stretch for a 280X? The 8350 is just a factory overclocked 8320, anyway.

As far as I know, the only difference between an 8350 and an 8320 is the former's higher stock clocks. If you're overclocking it yourself there's no point spending the extra £30.

What resolution monitor and Psu are you contemplating, get the best graphics card you can afford. There are still 7950\7970 cards out there around £200 but if I were you I'd push the budget and look for an R9 290 around £290. 4Gb and a beast of a card, very future proofed. :D

The 8350 is overclocked? Is This True? i cant see anything on the products page. As i will be overclocking myself i want my components not to be overclocked :S

It's not overclocked, but it's the same as an overclocked 8320. So you can save money by getting the 8320 if you're going to overclock anyway.

I'm thinking of a 750w corsair modular PSU and my display is a 40" LED Smart tv

How far do you reckon i could push the 8350 with air cooling. just curious. i know all cpu's are different even if its the same model.

Not ready to move to water cooling. don't trust it ha

With a £30ish cooler the 8320/50 can normally get to 4.6GHz or so. With a high end (£50-£60) cooler up to 5GHz. AIO water coolers like the h100 can manage around 5GHz too.

Cheers Guys i appreciate the help. I'm going to go with the fx8350 and the r9 270x to start with then maybe upgrade the GPU end of next year with a water cooler if i grow a pair as my basket it totaling over 800 pound already.

Have a good christmas :)
