New Build, Whats the best bang for buck AMD Cpu ?

Morning all

Looking to build my son a new pc for xmas, he'll be using it for Lightroom and games like Rollercoaster tycoon etc, looking to do it on a budget as we have 4 kids and to be fair he has a DSLR for xmas , so whats the best bang for buck AMD cpu these days please?

What GPU do you have for him? Also what power supply?

8800 ultra and a generic 600w psu

The gfx hes using is a low profile card as he's got a shuttle, doesn't offer any performance at all

Morning all, the 8800 Ultra was junk, things were tight around xmas time and we didnt get time to check it, we got a refund but currently he using the shuttles GFX card, can someone suggest a budget friendly gfx card for playijg games such as Rollercoaster tycoon world, no limits 2, planet coaster and using lightroom, thanks

Absolutely destroys it, I would grab the 250 just for the sake of an extra £15 it will give a good performance boost
