New build windows 8.1 bsod

Seems to be youtube mainly and yes since I started.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5 Socket AM3+
Mainboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 (Latest Bios 1.7)
Memory: Kingston HyperX DDR3 8GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon r9 200
Storage: Crucial 256GB SSD

Windows 8.1 pro 64

Cpu temp sits around 82F and M/B 78F

When I get the BSOD I can't see - maybe i missed it - a BSOD code. Although memory dumps have saved to SSD.

Newb question: Do you update your drivers via device manager - right click and update or do you go via manufacturer's website?

Will grab memtest.

Newb question 2: Where are systemlogs and what am I looking for in them?

I ran WHOCRASHED and get the following: 10 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

atikmdag.sys (ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.)

I thought I had latest AMD drivers - 14.4 - but device manager says 14.1 so will try latest.

The reason I want to know the best way for updating drivers, ie using device manager, is that with the graphics card best way is via safe mode, remove old drivers, reboot and then install new drivers. Is that right?
