started rebuilding my rig today after my parts arrived from ocuk

having problemd with my mobo not posting,

its a gigabyte p35 ds3r

currently stripped down and outside the case with only cpu and 1 stick of known good ram fitted

all i get is one short beep on startup then it powers down again then powers itself back up with a short beep and powers off again and keeps repeating this

any thoughts guys?

I was having problems with the same motherboard when I bought it a couple of weeks ago, getting the post beep and then it shutting straight down, even if it was assembled out the case. I also got no output from the graphics card, so I RMA'd the motherboard and got an Asus IP35 which now works fine with all my hardware.

Can you get onto the BIOS screen at all? (maybe try booting with no ram?)

turns out that i've been sent a duff board,

was a bit concerned when i recieved it that it had been opend and the pin protector was off the socket, after speaking to ocuk it seems that my spanking new board might well be someone elses RMA thanks ocuk and to top it off i wont get a replacement sent out till they receive this back bleeding fantastic

That sucks mate, their mistake they should send you a replacement board out asap imo...

I am also not happy with ocuk at the moment! but thats different story

yeah well the other half sent a couple of webnotes off only to be told tough have to send the duff board back first

nice that you have to sort ocuk's mistakes for them

Thanks ocuk thank you very much

It was probably mine then! :p
