just built a pc. parts are:

e8400 Cpu
ati 4850 iceq4
320GB samsung F1
asus p4q pro motherboard
4GB geil 6400.
corsair 620Hx modular.

powered it on, it booted, entered Bios all components were there. put in the vista CD, it then did the "windows is loading files" followed by a green loading bar. it then went into a green and blue themed vista back ground that was blank and it Hanged there untill i had to reboot.

it sais "no harddisk detected!" on bootup, but it recognises the HD in bios.

any ideas?

As said have you set the correct voltage and timings right for memory, if so try using one stick at a time, if this does not work check memory with memtest. As for the hard drive l use Samsung f1 500gb and did not have to install Sata drivers as VISTAX64 had them.

i set the DRAM to 2.10 voltage. it doesnt have an option for DDR, only DRAM.
ive tried different sata cables, and also tried a different stick of ram.

it is vista 64Bit home premium, and it still hangs where i described.
