new build woes

oh man new rig is here but its going rubbish!

Cant turn down Antec Khuler 920....swapped stock with 2 x gentle typhoons

installed ChilliV but ITS FULL SPEED ALL THE time supposed to be silent????
tried 2 USB headers and followed guides; black wire goes next to where theres no pin contact....no different

tried manual / auto fan control in bios - same - wont turn down

not sure whats wrong now?

And seems Asrock Z68gen 3

I'm not sure but isn't it something to do with Gentle Typhoons don't have PWM so only run at one speed (full speed) without some kind of fan controller?

Looks like all Gentle Typhoons are 3 pin, rather than 4 pin PWM

So the only way to turn it down is with a fan controller

I guess you probably don't want to buy more fans, but apaches are pwm as are vipers. Both good cooler fans I hear

..what settings in bios to let the antec software control it - should it be manual or automatic? ta
