New build won't boot

Hi guys, the following won't boot:

3200 (754)
Epox 8HDA3+
1gb pc3200 OCZ
6800GT
400W Antec, which came already inside an Antec SLK3800B

Basically, if we turn it all on, you see the case fans twitch and turn about 2cm, but nothing else. Everything else completely fails. Anyone had any similar experiences or know what it could be? Thanks.

OK, fan still twitching slightly after repeated attempts.

This Epox board doesn't have a mobo LED, it has one of those numbered display things. And this doesn't flash at all. Nothing else responds in the slightest, except for the case fan twitching.

I've checked the mobo power leads (both 20 and 4 pin), gfx & RAM are seated properly, heatsink fan controller is connected up properly. All my 4 pin PSU power cables are connected to something - hd, dvdrw, gfx, case fan.

Also, noticed that the 20-pin PSU power connector has one of the pins missing! But it's not just the actual pin, if you look on the other side of it the entire cable for that one pin is missing. So there are only 19 out of 20 there. Could this be causing it? Anything I can do other than RMA the whole Antec SLK3800B? Last time I had to send something back to OCUK my postage wasn't refunded.

I don't think it's shorting. I've used all the brass fittings and it's sat nicely on them. And I can't see any contact anywhere else.

I have my other computer here, but I'm posting on it!

2 of them are going into one hole, and one hole is empty. That's surely a manufacturing error?

If that's standard then I've never noticed it before.

10 brass fittings, sat mobo on top, screwed through mobo using supplied screws into brass fittings.

My Antec PSU that's in this system booted the other system fine. Now I've got to go through the RMA process

I've tested with single sticks of RAM, different slots, re-seated GFX numerous times, etc.

As said, after turning the power on, you get the v. low hum of the PSU, and then when you switch it on proper, you get this very quiet, single beep. Barely audible when stood over it, but a bit clearer when you put your head closer.

I don't particularly want to go through the rigmarole of sending this back/refunds etc., so if anyone's had any similar experiences please help
