Just built up a new rig consisting of:

Corsair VX450
E2180
ASUS P5K-SE
2GB OCZ Platinum Revision 2 XTC
Powercolor HD2600PRO

And it wont post. I have tried known working ram in it as well as testing the OCZ in another machine and it works.. Tried the graphics card in another machine to make sure it works and it does. I have unplugged everything from the board (front usb/sound/hard drives) and it still wont post. Leaves me to think its the mobo or processor. Im assuming more so the board because it doesnt even beep, it just turns on with a blank screen and thats that. Any ideas?
 
mmm, if it was an aBit IP35 then I'd say RAM VOLTAGES. I've seen perfectly working machines that showed the symptoms you described because the voltages were too low. Have you got some cheap normal voltage (1.8/1.9v) ram to put in?

Failing that, try taking the board out of the case and running it on the desk. (might be a dodgy earth)
 
I have tried some known working 1.8v ram and still no go. Just tried a known working processor and still no joy. Going to take the mobo out the case now as suggested and see if that makes any difference.
