On turning on RGB flashes on for less than a second. And CPU fault led lit.

Take it out, have a look at the CPU for bent pins, also look to see if it was installed in the correct orientation- after doing many many Intel builds this threw me off a little

Also is CPU 8 pin power plug installed ?

8pin is in. its a brand new cpu it's water cooled.

Try a single stick of ram in alternate slots.

Yes and double checked all connections. Reset cmos about 5 times. It's doing my head in.

Build it out of the case minimal spec.

Just tried that with no luck. Ordered a new mobo and cpu cooler so it's easier to test. Will update Tuesday.
