Hi guys.
I've built many PCs over the years so I don't regard myself as an idiot but I'm also self taught so I also don't deny I may be making a silly error.
The specs are:
Gigabyte GA-AB350M Gaming 3
Ryzen 5 1600
Corsair DDR4 3200 16gb ram
Corsair rm650x I had lying spare
I built the system up with these new components and the other essentials from my old pc only for the PC not to power on. I stripped everything back out bar the MB, CPU and ram for it to do the same - a faint beep from the PSU.
I tried the PSU from my old system and it wouldn't power on either so that ruled out my new psu and the old one powers with the new.
I RMAd the MB who sent out a new one today. I connected the CPU, fan and ram. Connected the 8 and 24 pin ATX connection and same again - when I hit power it gives me a tiny squeak.
I've triple checked my front panel headers and only connected the power switch but no joy.
Please send some help
