New build wont start up- help please

I have just recieved my asus p8p67LE mobo/intel core i5 2500k 3.3 cpu and 4gb ocz platinum ddr3 RAM and zalman z9 case. I have assembled it all, the mobo green power light is on but when pressing the power button on the case it still doesnt turn on. Any idea what the problem may be?

check the power button is connected to the correct headers on the motherboard?

check motherboard isnt grouding on case?

I have mounted the mobo on the pins that come with it, could that still be causing a problem and all the pins are plugged into the correct ones.

Does the CPU fan come on - are there any beeps from the motherboard.

When this happens to me a go back to basics - 1 stick of ram / gfx card / cpu and fans

Try reseating the RAM

Also check the case power button header is connected to the motherboard might be as simple as that.

I had the same problem with my setup recently, my problem was the on button connector to the keyboard, the m/b to case connectors were not very tight, at first I gave the connector a nudge and it started up with the case button, then later I just slightly bent one of the pins so it made the fitting tighter and it worked ok after that

I have tried all the basics......its not making no noises and the fans are not powering up? Although you can hear it actually turniong on nothing is happening apart from the green light on the motherboard.
