You can double check the PSU by linking out pins 16 & 17 on the main ATX connector, but I would remove all power connections and connect a fan to one of the molex connectors.
Unfortunately I know we have said it several times is try external to the case to rule out any shorting, I have had to do this with fault in the past.
James Manns; my set up turns on for a split second and then turns off by it self, this only happens after I have unplugged the power cable from the PSU and then re connected it. 5 seconds after it has turned it self off, it then powers up.
ive got this problem as well. im thinking its the psu or either motherboard is nackered. as its only done it couple of days ago so im clueless on how to get mine working as well. so if any one finds out please let me know as well. yeah mine does same owers on for half second. the fans and everythink power on for half second to. then just turns off. it also makes this funny slight buzzing sound when powering on.
If you've got a clear CMOS switch on the back panel of your mobo then make sure its not being pressed in by the I/O sheild, took me a while to figure that out!
If you're really stuck i dont think im that far away to cast another eye over your pc.
Maybe try unplugging everything you dont need, run 1 stick of RAM, one HDD or SSD, graphics card and maybe 1 or 2 fans. Also check that the pins in the power connectors are fully home, they've not popped out when you've plugged it in.
Had the same problem with my new build, turns out the Case power connector wasn't connected properly onto the mobo so was cutting off. Do you have a power button on the mobo itself?
