New build, wont work!

Right.. never once has one of my builds worked correctly from the first step..

I have the following

Q6600
Asus Striker Extreme
4gb Corsair Dominator PC8500
2x Raptor X
Zalman 750w PSU
BFG 8800 GTX

Now it is all put together, and it will actually power up.. for random amounts of time, it gets past POST, past the first splash screen - then it either goes to a "Bootmgr is missing, please restart" or reboots before then.

What do i try first? i have tried removing 2gb of ram to test if that was the problem, but it wasnt

have you set it to boot from a CD to install windows?

Doesnt get that far mate, either restarts before i can get to bootmanager or bootmgr is missing ^^

I'll try to hit f8 as fast i can in hope it will work

Just tried this, "windows is loading files.." appears, and then randomly restarted some seconds later

Alright, scary problem avoided - HSF looked stable and attatched but wasnt, queue >100degrees temperatures, no more random restarts!

Now to try the rest.
