I'm looking to build a powerful workstation. It will only be used for web development and programming.

The most intensive programs it will run is Visual Studio 2013 and Adobe Fireworks.

I have no idea where to start so any advice is appreciated. I'm not really interested in overcloking. Just want good components that will add up to a powerful system that will (hopefully) last me for the next 3 years.

I don't have a budget, but I do want it to be cost effective.

Thanks

Ok, so i've had a look around and up to now, I have these components:

Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor
Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW)
Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit DVD - OEM
MSI Z87-G43 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard - FREE Alpenfohn Civetta Cooler!!
TeamGroup Elite Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

I have an old Aluminium Lian Li caase, optical drive, 1TB Seagate Baracuda and BeQuiet PSU that I think will be salvageable.

Any thoughts, advice?

Thanks
