I built my new system yesterday, the first time i have ever done it,and it went like a breeze! this is what i buiilt.
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz (Socket AM3)
Asus ATI Radeon HD 4870 Glaciator+ 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Coolermaster Storm 'Scout' Gaming Case
Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AMD 785G (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Be Quiet! Straight Power 650W ATX2.2 SLi Compliant Power Supply
Seagate Barracuda LP 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache -
Sony Optiarc AD-7240S 24x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter

its really awesome runs like a Zonda! but i got 1 problem the stock cooler sounds like a hoover! i've tried everything in the Bios but it runs nearly 100% all the time. The temps are fine no more then 45-0c Is there something i can do to overcome this noise? I.e aftermarket cooler

Also thanks for all the help with suggestions for my build.

the only really true fire way to have a quieter cpu cooler is to buy a better cooler and lose the stock cooler as then it gives you the opportunity to put a lower rpm fan or possibly get a fan controller (only recomended if you have many fans) the last thing is to mod the fan, to make it spin at a lower rpm. but basically ur only way is to get a cooler that allows u to put ur own fan on or 1 that already has 1, plus a better cooler will give better temps as well.

bit pricey but it will deffinetly get the job done

hi mate, if you look around there are shrouds and fans specially made for stock coolers that run at lower rpm and a designed to be more effective than the standard fans, im not sure if ocuk do them so just stick it in google and have a look
