Ok guys, this is my first step into something half decent ( i hope )

Ive recenty acquired a;
Foxconn nf4 mobo
and also
AMD 64 4000+
connect3d x1950xt 256mb
1 gig memory


Is this a tidy piece for playing the recent games?

Ive tried to play BF2 in the past on my current 9550ATi and its pathetic.

Hopefully i have made a decent choice.

Let me know your thoughts
 
Setup looks good and will play games at a reasonable quality and framerate.

Might consider upping your memory to 2gig sometime in future as games such as bf2 which you mention really appreciate the exrta ram.
 
I agree with the other two comments, 2GB upgrade! :) Also have you considered purchasing some addtional CPU cooling and overclocking? You could buy something that cools your AMD chip nicely and increase the clock speeds on it, that will give you some performance increase!
 
Thats good, the memory is something i can build up over the next few months.

As it is now i will have 2 x 512 sticks (un-matched) would adding a 1Gb stick and having the 2 512's on dual core channels be a good way to work it instead of selling the 512's or is there a benefit from having 2 x 1Gb sticks?
