i will be building a new system when the conroe mobos are sorted, i would like to know if i will need a new psu or will my true blue still fit ok, if not can you get any adapters.

Depends which psu it is, there are several true blue psus iirc.
Give us a link.

As long as its Atx 2+ with the 24pin conenctor it ought to be ok.
I also need to know the wattage of the psu and the system (particularly graphics) you intend it to power...

Conroe still uses the ATX 2.0 standard to the best of my knowlege so as long as your PSU supports that you are fine. If not you need a 20-24pin adapter for the motherboard and a 4-6pin adapter(uses 2 molex plugs) for the graphics card. The PSU itself should easily be powerful enough.

its a 480w trueblue and it says its atx12v.
its running an IC7 at the mo.
does that help.

I've had a look on the Antec site and i don't think it has the 24pin connector.

And not Trueblue.
So i think you need a new one, as the 20-24pin adaptors don't really work.

I think the True Blue series comes under the True Power except with a blue LED.

Forgive me if im wrong however.

Yep it does. There's a TrueBlue, and a TrueBlue II though. Former has two 80mm fans, whilst the latter has a single 120mm (just like the TruePower and TruePower II). I've got the latter one myself, it's a nice unit.

Do they clip together to make a 24 pin?
There is a seperate 4 pin connector aswell that has nothing to do with the main atx connector.
