Which would you build? Is DDR3 worth it? Your thoughts please...
 
Can I have the 3rd option please? Neither of the above. I've kept some of the basics but this option saves you about £65 and gives you an 8800GTX as well as 2x2gb of Ram so that you can still upgrade further in future. :)

for the moment DDR 3 is a waste of money, with the Q6600 teamed up with pc6400c4 ram you'll be anle to reach speeds is excess of 3.2 GHZ without stressing the ram.

It's very much like semi-pro's spec but uses RAM that's on sale and a little more sensible motherboard.

Perhaps there's still a bad taste in my mouth after my nightmare of a time spent with a P5K-WS. :o
