New build ????????

Hello newbie here have just taken the plunge to upgrade from my old NF7/AMD BARTON ststem to a Intel Q6600 setup .Heres what i,ve got comin when it finally arrives........

Q6600 SLACR
Asus maximus formula board
Ocz pc6400 reaper hpc 2x1gb
samsung spinpoint 320gb
Artic freezer pro7
Corsair 620w modular psu
Evga 8800gt sc
Antec 900 gamers case
Lg dvd writer

so any hints,tips or advice would be most welcome

Hi John and welcome to the forums.
Nice setup and it will be a noticeable improvement on your old PC.
If you are interested in OC'ing the PC the the stickies contain a wealth of information.
What OS are you going to use?

Im gonna go with xp pro until they get vista sorted, hopefully it should all be here tomorrow (13th) can,t wait!!!!!!!!!!!! will let you know how it all comes together plus i,ll be askin for a rew ocing tips

xp v vista

might be something to think about, still waitin for gfx card got everythin else well gutted its killin me!!!!!.Is it worth buildin it with xp to make sure its ok or just go with vista from the start??????
